As part of the meetings organized by the Cátedra de Industria Inteligente de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería (Comillas ICAI), René González, CEO of Alhona, participated in a new meeting of the “Breakfast with CEO”, an initiative that seeks to connect business leaders with students and professionals in the industrial sector.
During this session, René highlighted how artificial intelligence has become a key lever to drive competitiveness in the industry, a process that requires strategic vision and expertise to address technological challenges, such as OT/IT integration.
In addition, he discussed case studies in which Alhona has helped clients optimize processes and implement intelligent solutions that improve operational efficiency, combining technological innovation with in-depth knowledge of the industrial environment.
The session was introduced by Bernardo Villazán, co-director of the Chair, who highlighted René’s professional career and his role in the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, and was inaugurated by the rector of the university, Antonio Allende SJ, who stressed the importance of these spaces for meeting and dialogue between university and business.
The colloquium concluded with a round of questions in which students and professionals were able to interact directly with René. When asked about the secret of success, René shared his reflection: “To succeed in your work, you have to have passion for what you do”.
